I can't find the meme, but there is a story going around Elon fired the IT person responsible for access to the building and asked them to come back to fix it.  (Probably fake but it sure sounds like a great "stepping on your poncho story.")

No idea if this is true but I did get an email this morning from a recruiter asking if I was interested in 'helping to build Twitter 2.0'. Uh, no.

Speaking of Musk and Twitter, I took a quick look at the stock price for Tesla to see how his man-baby meltdown may have impacted it. It’s down 31% in the past month. Meanwhile the Dow is up 8.5%, the S&P is up 6%, and the Nasdaq is up 3%. Tesla lost $500B in market capitalization in just the past 3 months. Sure it was overpriced to begin with but this is a beating in any language and it’s almost certainly attributable to Musk’s increasingly erratic behavior.

Less that a week ago I read 14 out of the top 50. I think it's probably accelerating, especially as Musk continues to signal that he really is going to turn Twitter into 4chan-lite.

Bannon is so wrong about this. Trump's "people" aren't going to protect him from anyone Trump wishes to have dinner with. Trump has had West in the Oval Office at least once.  West is a good black as far as Trump is concerned.  And we know nothing of any contacts that Trump had with the Nazi...could be none, could be lots of contacts that were unreported.  Trump is getting attention with this, as is West and I doubt Fuentes enjoys having dinner with "important" people.

In an exchange about advertiser departures and alleged media bias, Musk claimed that he had cut a deal with civil rights groups to create a “moderation council” but that they had broken the deal.



Perhaps needless to say, this did not happen. The reference is to a chaotic meeting Musk held with a group of leaders of prominent civil rights groups, including the NAACP and the ADL, on November 2nd. Musk had actually announced the “moderation council” days earlier. So even on its own terms the timeline doesn’t match up. We’re hardly four weeks into the Elon era on Twitter and he’s already cueing up a storyline in which he tried to placate the Blacks and the Jews and the gays but they betrayed him and set out to “kill Twitter.”

The most amusing part of this is the idea that half the country would ditch their current phones for the chance to buy one that caters to trolls on twitter. It is such an ingrained concept to most of these conservatives that because half the country votes Republican then they are all attached at the hip and they will all happily undertake whatever ideologically disrupting thing that comes along in their lives...I mean, it's just totally obvious to everyone that will happen right?
