In honor of the World Series, a quote from a true gentleman of the game:

Continuing with the baseball theme:

In tribute to the World Series I feel we can't possibly overlook that renowned Baseball genius Casey Stengel:
Mr. that boy couldn't hit the ground if he fell out of an airplane.

Continuing the basball quotes, we have a good one from Tommy LaSorda Hall of Fame Manager of the LA Dodgers:
I've been Catholic all my life, and there's one thing I've never understood. Why didn't the Corinthians write back?

Because once the writers realized it was a good address the spam would never stop. Duh.

Atlanta is leading the Series 3-1. Tonight may be the night. Meanwhile, a quote from "the Babe"

The World Series has ended with Atlanta winning it all. Cogratulations and thank you to both teams for a great series.
I played for 18 years, but the only thing that meant anything to me was the World Series.

Cogratulations and thank you to both teams for a great series. I don't really follow sports but I'm glad the blatant cheaters lost.

Got back yesterday from a 3.5 day jaunt to NJ for a College Organization's reunion. Seventy people were in attendance at our biennial reunion. Thursday Karen and I arrived early to see an exhibition Men's BB gamen and have a pizza "date" at an old college haunt. Friday evening we arranged for two vans to take us to NYC: one for the ladies to see Phantom, one for the guys to get drunk at McSorley's Old Ale House. Everyone had a good time. Saturday AM was a memorial service for one of our friends who died from COVID in January. Saturday afternoon was spent reminiscing. In the evening we partied like it was 1969.
Came back in time to see the Giants win (about freakin` time !!)
Life is nothing without friendship.

Got to reminiscing about living in Italy: I always remember November as being wet and rainy. Soo I went for a weather quote.

For today, a "daily double". When I was working, there was a fellow everyne said was "slow on the uptake". Some of his actions belied that assumption. One lady said it quite well: "He's not stupid. He's playing dead to see what kind of funeral he gets"
Tis sometimes the height of wisdom to feign stupidity.
