Spring is the time of year when it is summer in the sun and winter in the shade.
Charles Dickens
Bonus quote because its funny:
The first day of spring was once the time for taking the young virgins into the fields, there in dalliance to set an example in fertility for nature to follow. Now we just set the clocks an hour ahead and change the oil in the crankcase.

"False" Spring is appropriate: tomorrow's high expected in the 30's.
When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest.

Seton Hall won its first round NIT Game against St Joseph's (PA) last night. Coincidentally the ladies play St Joseph's (PA) tonight at 1900 on ESPN+.

We're in the middle of a "winter/spring" storm until later today. Five to seven inches predicted. Love the Northeast !! This is why the snow blower is still in the garage and ready to go.
Winter is dead; spring is crazy; summer is cheerful and autumn is wise.

To acknowledge yesterday's anywhere from 8 inch to 19 inch snowfall:

I hear the sounds of melting snow outside my window every night and with the first faint scent of spring, I remember life exists

Day two in Skowhegan. Snow melting like hangbusters. I came for the eclipse, staying for the mud.

There are no ordinary feelings. Just as there are no ordinary spring days or kicked over cans of paint.
Dean Young
Daily Maine Weather update: The rain is still falling, but expected to end this afternoon. The Skowhegan area has been blessed with two inches. Bonus weather surprise: snow in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Icing on the weather cupcake: my driveway is mostly mud right now. Because of the rain and temps, the snow has been steadily receding.

The longer an event is anticipated-a milestone birthday, an eclipse, a new millennium-the more likely it is to be an anti-climax.

That *&^%* storm is finally going to end tomorrow. Meanwhile, we're getting flurries. Monday is expected to be close to 60 degrees. On a rare note, I found a "two fer" quote.
Old age is like a plane flying through a storm. Once you're aboard, there's nothing you can do.

To commemorate the end of the (*&^% rainy/snow/sleet/drizzle and whatever else) weather.
For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
