Do "stable geniuses" count ?
It does if we are considering it to be those with an uncanny ability to shovel horseshit.
A Like. I've only just spotted what you did there!

My mantra. Essence of Buddhism. Yeah, I've never really got the thing about celebs having their own brand of fragrance. How many kilobucks a year are you pulling down from it, Travvo?

Moreover, not all who wander are lost (says one who just returned from a beach ramble) All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king. J.R.R. Tolkien, "The Riddle of Strider", The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

You lost me on that first sentence. I was talking about how possessions rule you- the more you have, the more you have to worry about getting them, then maintaining them etc. Back in the 70s, the poorest folks in Nepalese hill villages were the happiest I have ever met. They were in the late iron age. Things changed when they realized what they were missing. Hence the communist revolution of the aughts. Been a gig worker the last 30 years, so not many possessions here either. I did choose the right parents, so I got a great homesite on the family farm. More than enough for me. Chill out on my deck every morning doing the daily bird count. Which seems low this year due to the mysterious disease going around these parts. LFC likely knows more about it.

Toto` (An Italian comedian) "The rich can become poor; the poor can become rich; but the stupid will always be stupid" Addendum: Somehow, if the stupid becomes rich, he is considered a genius.

That's all good stuff, Trav. For example, if you have bazillions you need a fair-size staff to administer them, of whom the statutory percentage may well rip you off. Uneasy lies the head that runs a medium-size financial entity. It seems you lost me on your second sentence! Are you telling me that "Essence of Buddhism" is not your own line of fragrances?

Wise men are more dependent on fools than fools on wise men.Cato the Younger 'coz more of the latter than the former. In fact several orders of magnitude more. Ergo... ipso facto... perforce

Backstory: If you've kept up with my mundane world entries, you know I've been busy all week. Whether its cutting more trees, mowing the lawn, bike riding, transplanting periwinkle and such. Just did my first spin class since March 2020, and those women are still out to kill me. I digress. Enjoy your weekends !!

How they achieve efficiency, you might want to know. They mix business with pleasure. Not only is it not frowned upon, it is encouraged. Humans should too.
