I'm going to be serious for a bit. (Yes, I can do that.)
Years ago, we bought whole life policies from Metropolitan (Met) Life. Met Life has since been bought up by Mass Mutual. As part of our estate planning, we wanted to get our policies lined up so there would be no confusion later.
It took the people from Mass Mutual about three months to compile them all and get them under their purview. Of importance, they "lost" information (like our address) so two policies were about to default because we didn't get a bill. My point: if you have Met Life policies, contact a Mass Mutual office, get their information current and resolve any issues.
This will take a while. It took the agents at Mass Mutual about three months to get the policies "rounded up" so they could service them.

Good thing you decided to review what you had. It's criminal how cavalierly insurance companies deal with policies that you've been paying for for years.
