Not that it matters much but two "contributors" to Faux News have pulled out because of Tuckums' Patriot Purge special.

The trailer for Tucker Carlson’s special about the Jan. 6 mob at the Capitol landed online on Oct. 27, and that night Jonah Goldberg sent a text to his business partner, Stephen Hayes: “I’m tempted just to quit Fox over this.”

“I’m game,” Mr. Hayes replied. “Totally outrageous. It will lead to violence. Not sure how we can stay.”

The full special, “Patriot Purge,” appeared on Fox’s online subscription streaming service days later. And last week, the two men, both paid Fox News contributors, finalized their resignations from the network.

Mr. Goldberg said that he and Mr. Hayes stayed on at Fox News as long they did because of a sense from conversations at Fox that, after Mr. Trump’s defeat, the network would try to recover some of its independence and, as he put it, “right the ship.”

“Patriot Purge” was “a sign that people have made peace with this direction of things, and there is no plan, at least, that anyone made me aware of for a course correction,” Mr. Goldberg said.

A pair of right-wing serial liars left Faux News because apparently "responsible voices" [snicker, chuckle] are being drowned out on the network. One is Jonah Goldberg (#ironyisdead).

Stephen Hayes and Jonah Goldberg, two longtime contributors on Fox News who were fine with the misinformation the network has peddled up until now, announced yesterday on their right-wing media site that they’re leaving Fox because “the voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the irresponsible.”

• Hayes and Goldberg pointed directly at Tucker Carlson’s Fox Nation “documentary” on the Jan. 6 Capitol attack that fully aims to whitewash the events of that day. The ex-contributors called it a “collection of incoherent conspiracy-mongering, riddled with factual inaccuracies, half-truths, deceptive imagery, and damning omissions.”

• Carlson’s documentary is just the worst example of a “longstanding trend” of Fox twisting facts to suit Trump’s agenda, Hayes and Goldberg wrote.

I remember a website from many years ago that used to love to bash Goldberg's garbage, especially when he came out his book "Liberal Fascism." The site lovingly referred to him as "the Doughy Pantload" which was apparently a fairly common phrase among more left leaning websites.

Side Note: I don't remember the details but Jonah is a classic case of wingnut welfare, with his mommy being a powerful publisher or editor or something.

His mother Lucianne Goldberg's history is sordid enough. In 1972, she was paid by a friend of Richard Nixon to spy on the McGovern campaign and the reporters covering it, posing as a member of the press. She became an anti-women's liberation activist and campaigned against the Equal Rights Amendment. Eventually she became a literary agent (and ghostwriter) specializing in gutter-scraping attack jobs, starting with unauthorized celebrity biographies and branching out, when Bill Clinton was elected, into conspiratorial books accusing him and Hillary of various crimes. The "Vince Foster was murdered by the Clintons" story? That's one of hers. (As was the best-selling book on the O.J. Simpson case by racist ex-LAPD detective and convicted perjurer Mark Furhman, who became a right-wing folk hero despite the fact that he was responsible more than anyone for the case against Simpson falling apart.)

She lucked out when she fell upon Linda Tripp, a White House secretary with a deep disdain for the Clintons and a penchant for gabbing with the press. Goldberg was introduced to Tripp in 1993, and Goldberg pushed Tripp to help out with a tell-all expose of the Clinton White House (focusing on conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Vince Foster) for years. The problem was, Tripp's problems with the Clinton White House were largely based on matters of style -- George Stephanopoulos' dirty hair and Bill Clinton's flirting -- that is, until Tripp befriended Monica Lewinsky after both had been sent to work at the Pentagon. Goldberg convinced Tripp to secretly record her conversations with Lewinsky, promising her a major publishing payday. She then convinced Tripp to go to Newsweek's Michael Isikoff, who'd eventually break the Lewinsky story.

I'm not sure they even know what Nazism was/is all about.  They just know Nazis and what's associated with them are the buzz words for something bad.  Still I am disgusted by this line of attack...disgusted...is there a stronger word for my visceral reaction?

Logan continues on her descent into madness for money.

After comparing Dr. Anthony Fauci to Nazi war criminal Josef Mengele, and receiving widespread criticism from Jewish groups and the Auschwitz Museum, Fox Nation host Lara Logan is only digging in.

On Wednesday, the disgraced investigative reporter swung at her critics, posting links to conspiracy websites that claim HIV is “entirely fake” while boosting a tweet attacking the Auschwitz Museum for criticizing Logan.

Logan, rather than apologize or back off of her comparison, decided to double down. Taking aim at Fauci over his research work during the early days of the AIDS epidemic, Logan shared a slew of articles suggesting that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director had done more harm than good.

A number of the links she posted on Twitter were to far-right conspiracy websites, such as The Gateway Pundit. As The Bulwark’s Christian Vanderbrouk noted, Logan also linked to sites that peddle outrageous theories that HIV is “entirely fake” and obsess over Freemasonry. (One of these tweets is now pinned to the top of her Twitter timeline.)

Outside of turning to the fever swamps of the internet to prove herself right on Fauci, she also amplified attacks on Holocaust remembrance groups to her 197,000 Twitter followers for merely denouncing her Nazi analogy. (And during the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, no less.)

“Shame on the Auschwitz Museum for shaming Lara Logan for sharing that Jews like me believe Fauci is a modern day Mengele,” read the tweet boosted by Logan.

I don't think she's stupid and I'm a bit doubtful that she's crazy. That makes her a right-wing media whore like her co-workers Carlson and Hannity, though I am now convinced that Carlson is at least showing his true self when it comes to white supremacy. These people will say or do anything for money. In other words she's a perfect fit for Faux.

I finally caught Dr. Anthony Fauci in a lie. There's no f***ing way he's astounded.

Top White House COVID-19 expert Dr. Anthony Fauci put Fox News on blast Thursday night for staying quiet after Fox Nation host Lara Logan compared him to sadistic Nazi doctor Josef Mengele earlier this week.

“What I find striking, Chris, is how she gets no discipline whatsoever from the Fox network, how they can let her say that with no comment and no disciplinary action,” Fauci told MSNBC host Chris Hayes. “I’m astounded by that.”

The doctor slammed Logan’s “absolutely preposterous and disgusting” comparison.

“It’s an insult to all the people who suffered and died under the Nazi regime in concentration camps,” he said. “It’s unconscionable, what she said.”

I always took him to be an arrogant person. That quality probably sustained him during the many years at Fox.  He was going to do what he wanted, the hell with the "pundits" around him, and Ailes respected that.  I don't think he'll fall on any swords.
