Today being our 45th Wedding anniversary, a few appropriate quotes:
Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.
Paulo Coelho
I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
Rita Rudner
I have learned that only two things are necessary to keep one's wife happy. First, let her think she's having her own way. And second, let her have it.
Lyndon B. Johnson
We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops.

In acknowledgement of the Spring snowstorm going on in the Northeast, a weather quote:
The actual Irish weather report is really a recording made in 1922, which no one has had occasion to change. "Scattered showers, periods of sunshine."

Since I went to my wife's reunion planning party, I'll post a reunion quote.
I will never joke about old soldiers who try to get to reunions to talk over the war again. To talk of old times with old friends is the greatest thing in the world.

A man builds a fine house; and now he has a master, and a task for life.
Ralph Waldo Emerson As we were moving into our first purchased house the toilet backed up all over the bathroom floor. A friend who was helping us move was the one who flushed it so he grabbed towels out of the box they were packed in and started sopping up the mess. He yelled down the hall "Call the landlord!" My husband said "Damn...we're the landlord." This has become our phrase for indicating the house needs something repaired or replaced.

The reason gas prices are so high is because the oil is in Texas and Oklahoma and all the dipsticks are in Washington.
Yakov Smirnoff
Walking down memory lane, I recall an interview with a motorist the last time gas was in the $4.00 range: They were asked their thoughts about the "gas crisis". The person responded with: "What crisis ? You have money, you get gas."***
*** Speaking of which, Big Bird needs a complete fill up of premium. I'm betting about $100. I will advise tomorrow, its raining right now.
