I thought that was a joke when I first heard that Trump is selling Bibles starting during Holy Week. And really, do the buyers care about equating the US Constitution and Lee Greenwood's song lyrics in with the "Word of God"? Aren't there some serious religious leaders out there willing to denounce this?

Do you think people actually buy this? The majority of his Evangelical followers do, sadly. They feel that he is some anointed champion for God, even if he is flawed. But they are ever more making excuses for those flaws and may eventually believe he is a Perfect Man, like those Perfect calls to Ukraine and the Georgia secretary of state. |
