Hunter Biden is accusing the Delaware computer repair shop owner who worked on a laptop of trying to invade his privacy and wrongfully sharing his personal data for political purposes, according to new federal court filings.

Biden’s lawyers also say that John Paul Mac Isaac opposed the presidential candidacy of Hunter’s father, Joe Biden, and that he gave Hunter Biden’s data to “political enemies” to help then-President Donald Trump in 2020.

“Mac Isaac intended and knew, or clearly should have known, that people to whom he provided the data that he believed to belong to Mr. Biden would use it against then-candidate Joseph Biden and to assist then-President Trump,” Hunter Biden’s lawyers wrote in a court filing on Friday.

Ronald Poliquin, a lawyer for Mac Isaac in the civil case, declined to comment to CNN on Friday, saying Mac Isaac’s team was still reviewing Hunter Biden’s claims and would respond in court.

The filing from Hunter Biden’s lawyers outlines several ways Mac Isaac provided data to others – including when they say Mac Isaac sent a hard drive inside a stuffed animal to his father in New Mexico, and to a lawyer who worked with Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani, Steve Bannon and Republican political aides ultimately got access to some of Biden’s data, which contained “sensitive, private material,” according to the lawsuit.

I'm glad to see this though it will just be a circus of delay, denial, and breathless reporting.  Nice to see that the Biden who is victimized by assault from crazies who are running grifts in the service of themselves and of Trump is not sitting back waiting for this nonsense to blow over. Biden was probably influence peddling just as Kushner did but Biden was less successful by a lot in terms of monetary gain. But this attempt to ruin his already tough life for grift and political gain is inhumane and cruel.

The My Pillow guy has to cough up $5 million to a guy who reviewed the stuff Lindell had at his cyber security election fraud conference.  Wonder if Lindell will pay...it's an arbitration order, not a court order.

During frequent media appearances, he had advertised his three-day symposium as the event where he would finally provide data proving his claims. And he issued his high-stakes challenge.

“There’s a $5 million prize for anybody that can prove the election data that I have from the 2020 election was false, is not from the 2020 election,” Lindell said on the conservative show “The Glazov Gang,” which streams online.

The data he planned to reveal, he said, were “packet captures” that would demonstrate Chinese government interference. Packet captures, or “pcaps,” are a specific file format that is an industry standard for archiving internet traffic.

Lindell’s claims that he had packet captures intrigued Zeidman, who has served as an expert for tech firms in intellectual property lawsuits. Describing himself as a “reasonable” and “moderate conservative” who voted twice for Donald Trump, Zeidman told the arbitration panel he was skeptical of Lindell’s claims. But he said he also did not believe Lindell would promote unvetted data, so he thought the conference could offer a “great chance to see history in the making, perhaps an election overturned.”

At the event, Zeidman received the contest rules. There was no mention of disproving Chinese interference, according to contest forms submitted in the arbitration case. Rather, winners would have to prove that the data provided “does NOT reflect information related to the November 2020 election.”

At the symposium, participants interested in the contest were given a badge with a hot-pink dot to indicate they were cyber experts and could enter a room where Lindell’s data was shared.

The files provided to Zeidman and other experts were primarily text or PDF files. Zeidman testified that one was a flow chart purporting to show how elections generally work. Another, when unencrypted, was a list of internet IP addresses, and others were enormous files of what appeared to Zeidman to be random numbers and letters.

The packet captures that Lindell had promised were nowhere to be found, according to Zeidman.
Zeidman laid out his findings in a 15-page report. “I have proven that the data Lindell provides … unequivocally does not contain packet data of any kind and do not contain any information related to the November 2020 election,” he wrote.

The Republican House is all that we though it would be, bringing a level of unseriousness to the federal government never before seen in this country. Dana Milbanks reports on some of the latest clownery.

Last week, the Georgia Republican used her elevated status to praise Jack Teixeira, the National Guard airman and suspected leaker of highly classified U.S. intelligence about Ukraine, China and more. “Jake (sic) Teixeira is white, male, christian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime,” Greene tweeted, adding, “Ask yourself who is the real enemy? A young low level national guardsmen? Or the administration that is waging war in Ukraine, a non-NATO nation, against nuclear Russia without war powers?”

But Greene wasn’t content merely to label the American president “the real enemy.” Next came a hearing Wednesday at which the panel was to grill Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about the Biden administration’s proposed 2024 budget. Midway through the session, after Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) questioned Mayorkas about the effects of calls from GOP officials such as Donald Trump and Greene to “defund the FBI,” Greene began her five minutes of questioning with a sweet smile and a breathtaking libel.

“That was quite entertaining from someone that had a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy, and everyone knows it,” she said.

It was the very definition of slander. Democrats demanded that her words be “taken down.” Swalwell was one of several officials targeted a decade ago by a Chinese spy, but no evidence of a sexual relationship came to light.

Yet Republicans jumped to Greene’s defense. Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) ruled that Greene’s slander was “not going to be stricken from the record.” He went so far as to suggest the unsubstantiated innuendo was a “statement of fact.” And, when Democrats challenged the ruling, Republicans on the panel voted unanimously, in an 11-9 party-line tally, to defend Greene’s defamation of her colleague.

Greene, thus bolstered by the unanimous vote of her GOP colleagues on the committee, turned her attention to Mayorkas, blaming him for “killing people” with fentanyl. When Mayorkas tried to defend himself, Greene cut him off, shouting: “You’re a liar!”

Democrats objected again. This time, finally, Chairman Green silenced her for the rest of the hearing.

But it was the chairman himself who set the ugly tone. According to an audio recording obtained by the New York Times, the chairman told donors last week: “On April 19, next week, get the popcorn — Alejandro Mayorkas comes before our committee, and it’s going to be fun.” (He later claimed he was somehow misquoted.)

“Today is a historical day,” McCarthy began. (He apparently meant to say “historic,” unless he meant that the day itself was somehow occurring in the distant past.) He rattled off some statistics (182 roll call votes!) and, in his inimitable way with words, said this “shows a great contrast to the difference to the last Congress to this one.”
“It becomes a new, effective House,” he elaborated. “An effective House looks very different than a Senate that Schumer has become unproductive.”

This is as nonsensical factually as it is linguistically.

By this time in the last Congress, seven bills had already become law, including major legislation such as the American Rescue Plan and the Paycheck Protection Program extension. In late December, incoming House Majority Leader Steve Scalise released a “floor schedule” listing 11 bills that would be brought to the House floor within the new majority’s first two weeks. But close to four months later, House Republicans have passed only six of the 11, as Politico’s Daniella Diaz noted, a casualty of “internal struggles” among Republicans.

And that was the easy stuff. Now McCarthy is taking hostage the full faith and credit of the United States and demanding that Biden pay him a ransom of $130 billion in spending cuts. Even then, his plan calls for another debt-limit showdown in a year.

Chairman Jim Jordan took his House Judiciary Committee on a field trip to Manhattan this week in his capacity as unofficial cheerleader for Trump’s legal defense. The plan was to hold a hearing showing that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the man who indicted Trump, has, in just one year on the job, single-handedly turned New York City into an apocalyptic hellhole of violent crime.

But, as with seemingly all things Jordan touches, the proceedings quickly devolved into chaos.

Audience members heckled Democrats on the panel: “You’re a scumbag! … You guys are scumbags, all of you!” As one demonstrator was being led out by police, he shouted at the ranking Democrat, Jerry Nadler: “You’re utterly disgraceful, Ralph Nader!”

Republican witnesses joined in the disruption, interrupting Democrats (one of whom, Georgia’s Hank Johnson, referred to the protesters as “props in a MAGA Broadway production”). “Don’t insult my intelligence!” one witness screamed at Democrats, adding. “That’s why I walked away from the plantation of the Democratic Party.”

Members of the majority were barely more temperate. Rep. Harriet Hageman of Wyoming said of the Nashville school shooter: “Clearly, she was suffering from a psychosis. She claimed that she was a boy when she was a girl.”

Rep. Troy Nehls (Tex.) recommended that people use deadly force if they fear for their lives. “I would encourage residents … to defend yourself. You are given that God-given right, and that means pulling out a weapon and put two at center mass,” he said, pointing at his chest. “You’ll reduce recidivism, won’t you? And you won’t have a repeat offender.”

His recommendation came just days after a Kansas City, Mo., man opened fire on a Black teenager who rang his doorbell after accidentally going to the wrong address to pick up his siblings.

And of course there were the regular insinuations that Bragg was “handpicked and funded by George Soros,” as Trump has put it. Dozens of Republicans — including at least 10 on the Judiciary Committee, by my count — echoed the false charge (Soros merely contributed to a PAC that helped Bragg and others).

If the antisemitic implications weren’t clear enough in the constant charge that the Jewish billionaire manipulates the district attorney with his money, those attending the hearing were greeted on their way into the building by a man holding a large poster with two dollar signs, a Star of David and the word “Soros” on it. After that greeting, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) referred four times to Soros and spoke of Bragg as “bought and paid for by George Soros,” and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) denounced the “Soros-ization of the U.S. justice system.”

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.), who is Jewish, reminded the assembled that many consider such “smears” to be antisemitic.

Soon after, Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Tex.) let it be known what he thought of that. “Why do these Soros-funded district attorneys put criminals first and victims last?” he asked. “It’s what they believe. It’s who they are.”

And after the hearing, three Republicans on the panel — Dan Bishop (N.C.), Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin and Hunt — fired off tweets repeating the Soros smear. “Today in New York,” Hunt tweeted, “we heard the heartbreaking stories of Americans who mourn a loved one lost to the rising violent crime brought to you by Democrats and paid for by George Soros.”

So now Soros money is killing people? There really is no bottom.

Hunter back on the offensive, this time against MTG. It sounds like his attorneys are lining these people up for bigtime slander lawsuits. Sounds like they're setting up for being able to tell a judge, "We didn't want to sue and we did everything we could to stop the slander, but they refused." The last things the liars want to do is get dragged into court, get deposed under oath, and be forced to testify under oath. The grandstanding defense will get them held in contempt and the lying defense will get them hit with perjury charges. That doesn't leave them with much since the truth is not a defense for them.

BREAKING: Hunter Biden's lawyer has just demanded an 'ethics probe' into Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Details:

- Hunter Biden's lawyer, Abbe David Lowell has just called for the Office of Congressional Ethics to review Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for possible violations of House Ethics rules.

- Lowell accuses Greene of making continuous verbal attacks, defamatory statements, publication of personal photos and data, and promotion of conspiracy theories about and against Hunter Biden.

- The letter argues that Greene's actions are not part of any legitimate legislative activity and are often unhinged rhetoric.

- Lowell identifies several of Greene's social media posts, including one accusing Hunter Biden of being "linked to an eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring."

Note that Members of Congress CAN be sued for defamation.

I posted this a while back. As evidence, the laptop is toast. Once Giuliani got his slimy mitts on it there was no legal value left, only potential propaganda value.

During an interview with Real America's Voice, host Ed Henry asked John Paul Mac Isaac if he observed disturbing images of children on the laptop.

But Mac Isaac, a Trump supporter, explained that he contacted the FBI about the laptop because he was concerned about "national security" implications.

"That's what caused me to do a deep dive into the laptop once it became my property," Mac Isaac said. "During that time, I saw a lot of photos. I did not see a lot of photos that are being reported to be seen."

Wall Street Journal opinion columnist Andy Kessler—even after noting SVB’s singular focus on venture capitalists and startups, overabundance of uninsured deposits, depreciated securities portfolio due to rising federal interest rates, and the tech sector’s downturn—still somehow dumbly arrived at the conclusion that having “1 Black” and “1 LGBTQ+” members on its board may have indicated SVB’s fatal preoccupation with “diversity.”

The most telling evidence of the lie driving this racist hysteria is its origin point. The Claremont Institute may have once been the sort of conservative institution that dressed up its racism and bigotry in intellectual finery, but starting in the Trump era, it opted to change into something a bit less stuffy and more transparent for the white supremacist party.

Days after SVB’s failure, Newsweek published an opinion piece from the organization’s Center for the American Way of Life that was filled with half-truths, lies, and right-wing racist refrains.

Leaning into the conservative mantra that 2020’s racial justice protests were overwhelmingly violent, the article labeled BLM’s demands for anti-racism in workplaces a “shakedown of corporate America”—stopping just short of calling it an “armed hold up.” According to Claremont, American corporations, cowed and afraid, had “pledged or contributed an astonishing $82.9 billion” over the last three years. (They noted the figure is “more than the GDP of 46 African countries,” because why not drag a whole other continent of Black folks into this while you’re at it, I guess.)

The authors linked to CAW’s new “BLM Funding Database,” which purports to reveal how much individual companies across corporate America have given “to the Black Lives Matter movement and related causes.”

This is where the fine print becomes fraudulent. A general search of the database for SVB’s donations to “BLM Movement & Related Causes” produces a figure of $70,650,000—which would certainly be a staggering number, if only it were true. But getting slightly more specific in the search reveals the big lie at its core

On Tuesday, the legislature passed the travel records bill, which would exempt “certain security or transportation services” from public records requirements.

The Republican governor’s recent use of private chartered flights to shake hands and kiss babies in key primary states like Iowa has sparked questions about what looks like campaign travel—and who’s paying for it. But Sen. Jonathan Martin (R-Fort Myers), who sponsored the bill, claimed to the Tampa Bay Times in March that the bill had to do with protecting the governor’s safety and privacy.

Back in 2015, Wisconsin’s Republican Gov. Scott Walker thought to burnish his culture warrior cred in advance of a bid for the presidency by taking arms against the University of Wisconsin.

Walker cut the state university’s budget. His hand-picked board of regents gutted tenure protections for its faculty.

He and his legislative allies disdained the university’s traditional role of producing broad-based academic scholarship to deepen its students’ understanding of the world and talked instead as though the university were a glorified vocational or trade school — “connecting students and workers with the skills needed in today’s workforce,” as a university spokesperson put it at the time.

Critics predicted that Walker’s policies would exacerbate a faculty flight caused by the university’s low pay compared to that of its peer state universities, while reducing its competitiveness for federal research grants.

That’s exactly what happened. UW administrators said their professors were being poached by academic institutions — not only Ivy League schools and elite public institutions, but universities that could never have hoped to attract Wisconsin faculty in the past.

Local newspapers and education journals published columns by UW teachers explaining regretfully why they were leaving the state. Retention bonuses paid to dissuade valued professors from moving soared into the millions.

The university slid down the rankings of recipients of federal research and development grants — from tenth among recipients of National Science Foundation grants in 2010, to 16th in 2021. The university’s overall research and development spending, the third-highest in the country in 2010, fell to eighth in 2021.

Walker’s presidential aspirations didn’t last long. He announced his candidacy for the GOP nomination in mid-July 2016 and was out of the race by the third week of September. He did leave a significant partisan legacy, however: His model for appealing to a rapid far-right electoral base by targeting higher education institutions and their faculty has been taken up by Republican politicians in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. You can expect the movement to expand, spreading intellectual benightment across red-state America.

All Bongino and his ilk need is to dangle possibilities...that keeps listeners tuned in and people spending money buying the merchandise they are selling. I don't know how to get that through to the loyal followers...that they are being milked for money.

Somehow you don't see Lester Holt saying fabricated bullshit about Jared Kuschner "Outside of potential sex trafficking, possible fentanyl production, arms smuggling to ISIS, blackmailing foreign dignitaries, and ritual sacrifice of pre-schoolers - you're correct, nothing to see here".  Most of NBC's audience has some cognitive functioning left.
