Remember Amy Cooper, the woman with her dog illegally off leash in Central Park who got called on it and responded by telling the black birder who said something "I'm going to tell them there's an African American man threatening my life?" The company she worked for fired her, I assume for both her blatant racism and the fact that she called in a false complaint to police which is hardly a sign of mental stability. Now she's demanding restitution for being fired.

Amy Cooper, who was fired last May after she was videotaped calling police on a Black birdwatcher in New York City's Central Park, is suing her former employer, claiming it did not adequately investigate the incident.
Cooper filed suit Tuesday in US District Court against financial services firm Franklin Templeton, CEO Jenny Johnson and unnamed employees.

Cooper alleges that she was terminated improperly, and that the firm did not adequately investigate Cooper's actions and allegations her call was racially motivated -- a claim she denies.

A spokesperson for Franklin Templeton told CNN on Wednesday that the company stood by its decision.

"We believe the circumstances of the situation speak for themselves and that the company responded appropriately," spokesperson Stacey Coleman said in an emailed statement. "We will defend against these baseless claims."

I suspect her words and actions have made her pretty toxic. I wonder if she's found another job yet.

Airport Karen demands to speak to the manager. I have no idea where this airport is but it's clearly the U.S. The behavior in the video is a childish meltdown.

A video of a woman demanding to speak to the manager of the airport after being tackled by a security officer for entering a restricted area has gone viral on social media.

The clip, originally shared on TikTok user @kevdurio19, shows the woman causing a scene at the airport before she is shut down by a fellow passenger over her entitled behavior.

The clip starts off with the woman arguing with the officer and another staff member outside what appears to be a terminal gate. "He threw me to the ground," the woman is heard yelling before she demands to speak to the manager in charge.

"I want to speak to the f*cking manager of the airport," she screams before asking passengers in the waiting lounge, "Who saw him choke me to the ground?"

Gets Shut Down with a 'Boo Hoo'

The passenger filming the video then points out to the woman that he saw her "run through the door" when she was not supposed to, to which the woman responds by reiterating that she was tackled to the ground and that she's a woman wearing a dress.

The passenger then shuts the woman down by saying "Boo hoo," which further aggravates the woman and she starts cussing the passenger out. "You f*ck off, she tells the passenger before continuing her high-pitched demand to speak to the airport's manager. Watch the video below:

Another Ken who berated a black deliveryman apparently for being black. I'm sure Ken would start his excuse with "I'm not a racist but..." Apparently this is a very old money section of San Francisco.

A video uploaded to Instagram this Thursday shows a white man in an affluent San Francisco neighborhood harass and interrogate a Black delivery man, repeatedly asking him to show ID and to demand where the packages he's delivering are going to.

"Why do you think that I have to identify myself?" the deliveryman, whose has not been identified, asks the man.

"Who are you with? Who are those addressed to?" the man asks the deliveryman.

"It's none of your business," the deliveryman replies. "Every time I come around here, motherf—s like you make my job harder."

The delivery man says the man "asked me what I was doing, and I replied my job. He asked me who I worked for and I told him to mind his business. He then followed me to the halfway house I was delivering to and stood in my way as I tried to leave. I've never seen this guy before in my life."

"I posed no threat to his safety or his property. He threatened to call the cops on me, and after I talked some shit to him he admitted that it was an empty threat. He explained that things have come up missing in the neighborhood, so it must have been me who stole his shit. I'm guessing that in his mind I had no right to be walking down his street, and I must be looking for something to steal. I have a strong feeling that he wouldn't have harassed me of I was of a lighter complexion, but this is an everyday thing when you're a man of color living in America."

Ken & Karen McCloskey, who pulled guns on BLM protesters for walking PAST their house, just plead guilty.

Patricia and Mark McCloskey have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges after they came out of their home during a Black Lives Matter march to point guns at the protesters, the Associated Press reported.

The protesters were marching to the mayor of St. Louis' home when they walked by the McCloskey home. The couple came out with guns and aimed them at the crowd.

"Patricia McCloskey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment and was fined $2,000. Her husband, Mark McCloskey, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and was fined $750," said the report.

The couple also promised that they would forfeit their weapons.

Good. They should not be allowed to own or handle firearms after their dangerous antics.

Another Ken files a defamation lawsuit over being accused of white fragility. No, not The Onion.

A Fairfield, Connecticut-based lawyer has filed a defamation lawsuit against a local town meeting member who accused him of exhibiting "white fragility" in response to a message sent out by the local superintendent of schools.

Fairfield Patch reports that Fairfield Schools Superintendent Mike Cummings earlier this year sent out a letter to parents addressing the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes in which he asked members of the community to recognize and guard against their own inherent racial biases.

Local attorney Jason Gladstone, however, took this message personally and believed that Cummings was calling him a racist.

"I am truly offended that you would insinuate that I am inherently racist or biased," Gladstone wrote in reply. "You are truly out of bounds with your message and I am concerned that you are incapable of understanding this community and the people that reside here. Shocking would be a good word to describe your message."

Fairfield Town Meeting member Laura Karson criticized Gladstone's response in a Facebook post and said that it was a prime example of "white fragility" to treat all discussions of racism as personal attacks.

"These are tough times for all of us, but tearing down an educator, accusing him of calling other racists, when in fact he was trying to share his own reflections and ask for everyone in the community to do better, will not lead to a stronger Fairfield," she wrote.

This was enough for Gladstone to sue Karson for purportedly defaming him and causing him "emotional distress."

"It has affected my emotional wellbeing, my business relationships, my business reputation, my relationships with people of my community, my children and has severely and emotionally damaged me," he wrote in an affidavit.

In case you don't know Fairfield County has one of the highest per capita incomes in the US (Greenwich).  But 25 miles away in Bridgeport its a whole different economic "country". 

As a general rule of thumb, people from basically Fairfield west to the NY Border do think they're special.

My husband's family is all in Norwalk.  It's rebounded in the last 20 years but was seen as not too great in the mid '70's when he was in high school, definitely lesser than Darien etc.

The woman who lost her phone, only to zero in on a young black male holding his own phone with laser-like precision, is charged with a hate crime.

Miya Ponsetto, the 22-year old California woman dubbed “SoHo Karen” after she falsely accused a black teen of stealing her phone and then grabbed him, has been charged with a hate crime. Ponsetto pleaded not guilty to unlawful imprisonment as a hate crime, aggravated harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child on Wednesday. A viral video showed a livid Ponsetto grabbing 14-year old Keyon Harrold Jr. in a New York City hotel after she accused him of stealing her phone, which was later found in an Uber. Ponsetto seemed to brush off the idea that she was racially profiling Harrold Jr. after initially apologizing. “I wasn’t racial profiling whatsoever,” said Ponsetto in an interview on CBS This Morning. “I’m Puerto Rican. I’m, like, a woman of color.” Ponsetto’s next court date will take place on Oct. 20.

So what exactly is your defense? You would have grabbed anybody holding a phone at that moment? Yeah. Good luck with that one unless you're being tried in Alabama.

A New Jersey woman who allegedly attacked and harassed a Black woman in a Victoria’s Secret store appeared to have a breakdown when the woman started filming, according to videos of the incident. Ijeoma Ukenta said she was trying to redeem a coupon for free panties at the Short Hills Mall on Saturday when a woman allegedly nudged her aside. The interaction escalated and Ukenta started recording. She captured the woman lunging at her then begging her not to film. “I didn’t try to hit you. Please don’t record me,” the woman says. She then chased Ukenta around the store, urging employees to take the phone away. The woman called 911 to report Ukenta for “threatening” her, though Ukenta said in an eight-part video series that “I just came to get my free panties.”

The woman later told police that she had a breakdown due to fears of her losing her apartment and teacher’s aide job if the video went viral. Ukenta, who shared a purported police report identifying the woman, is raising money for legal fees after police declined to press charges.

I saw part of that video the other day.  The woman was having a complete breakdown, shaking, lying on the floor, screeching, then pursuing the woman who was filming.... If she is a teacher's aide, she really should not be allowed around children in any capacity.

Maybe not but the initial description of nudging that nnnnn... other woman out of the way felt pretty entitled. The article makes it sound like things escalated at that rather than moving to "I'm sorry. Please finish." The reaction to being videoed was definitely panic but I don't think that would have been her reaction 5-10 years ago, before people starting standing up and calling out these bullies on video. It's not all "cancel culture." Sometimes, maybe most of the time, it's just standing up for the victims of bullying. (Excuse me. "Boolying" per Melania. Oof. Was that catty?)

This is messed up.

Spencer Elden, who appeared as a naked baby on the cover of Nirvana's 1991 album "Nevermind," has claimed the record's iconic artwork is child pornography and is suing the band over alleged "child sexual exploitation."

The rock album's cover features Elden, then an infant, swimming underwater while undressed, his eyes fixated on a one dollar bill. It became one of the most enduring images in rock music after the record's release.

But in a complaint, filed on Tuesday at a federal court in California and obtained by CNN, Elden's attorneys said the image was pornographic and that he has suffered "lifelong damages" as a result of his involvement.

Elden, now 30, has listed the surviving band members, the executors of lead singer Kurt Cobain's estate, and various record labels as defendants. He is seeking $150,000 in damages from each of the defendants, plus legal costs, and alleges the defendants "knowingly produced, possessed, and advertised commercial child pornography."

The lawsuit alleges Elden was sexualized because the dollar bill used in the image made the baby resemble "a sex worker."

Come for the hurricane, stay for the snowflakes.

As Hurricane Ida approached Mississippi on Monday morning, MSNBC correspondent Shaquille Brewster unexpectedly found himself embroiled in another storm — a white man who angrily confronted Brewster, a Black man, during his live report on the hurricane.

As Brewster began his live shot in Gulfport by reporting that mail delivery had returned and that rain had stopped in the area, a white truck drove into the frame and pulled over to park behind Brewster.

The driver of the truck, a white man, jumped out and charged towards Brewster while yelling inaudible remarks. Brewster then directed the camera crew towards the Gulf of Mexico after quickly noticing that there is a “random person going around.”

“I’m going to turn this way because we deal with people every once in awhile,” Brewster said.

Brewster appeared to keep his composure and continued reporting on the hurricane and the city’s curfew staying in effect until the man’s voice grew louder in the background — still inaudible. The man then aggressively got in Brewster’s face.

“(MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin) I’m going to toss it back to you because we have a person who is…” Brewster is heard saying as the white man confronted him. Brewster appeared to raise his own arm to defend himself and started to lose his grip on his microphone while the white man continued getting in Brewster’s face.

Brewster’s live shot abruptly ended at that point, prompting Melvin to react in real-time: “Hey, hey, hey. We’re going to check in with Shaq Brewster to make sure all is well. A lot of crazy out there.”

Melvin later reported that Brewster is “just fine” and “okay.”

Brewster confirmed that he and his team are “all good” in a tweet following the confrontation.

Hurricane Ken has been identified and arrested.

The man who got in MSNBC reporter Shaquille Brewster’s face in the middle of a live shot in Mississippi during Hurricane Ida, was taken into custody on Thursday.

Benjamin Eugene Dagley was arrested by the U.S. Marshals’ violent fugitive task force in Dayton, Ohio, with the assistance of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

“This violent fugitive was attempting to flee from his charges in Gulfport but the swift work of our task force members resulted in a timely arrest,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said in a statement.

The Gulfport Police Department in Mississippi charged Dagley with disturbance of the peace, violation of an emergency curfew, and two counts of assault.

An Ohio woman was sentenced to six months in prison for shouting racial slurs at Black teenagers while menacing them with her car.

Angela Baker, 43, was convicted of two felony charges of ethnic intimidation during the 2020 incident at a Meijer grocery store, The Toledo Blade reports.

Lucas County Judge Lori Olender lectured Baker at sentencing.

“You were driving what the state of Ohio considers a deadly weapon. You were in a running car. Those boys were on foot,” the judge said. “You could have hit either of those boys, whether you wanted to or not because you can’t always control a deadly weapon.”

Baker reportedly broke down at sentencing.

"On Thursday, Baker raised her voice, broke down in tears, and banged her hands against a table when given the chance to address the judge. 'I’m being terrorized,' the defendant said multiple times," The Blade reported. "The defendant asserted several times Thursday that she believes she has been 'harassed, threatened, and tormented' by Black people over an extended period of time."
