The old 1970s-era T-shirt slogan “The more I see of MEN* the better I like my DOG” comes to mind. *Not sure whether original version of the shirt was making a feminist commentary or was using the then-accepted English convention of the “universal ‘his’”, i.e., referring to “people” in general.
