Local college team is going to the semis in the FCS championship against 13-0 North Dakota State.

Major rain storm headed for the Northeast so...
A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.

Holiday party tonight so, some culture is de rigeur.
One martini is all right. Two are too many, and three are not enough.

A reminder to the guys out there: Three actual shopping days left.
Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice.

Not a favorite for quotes but this one is generic.
Silence 'is so lacking in this world which is often too noisy, which is not favorable to recollection and listening to the voice of God. In this time of preparation for Christmas, let us cultivate interior recollection so as to receive and keep Jesus in our lives.'
Pope Benedict XVI

Its Christmas Eve. On behalf of my family, I want to wish all our TRS2 friends the merriest of Christmases and holidays !!
Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we're here for something else besides ourselves.

We have a couple of days to come up with some good resolutions. Here's a suggestion:
Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.

We have snow in the forecast for Sunday. I don't have to go anywhere. I can assure you, the area is "panicking". One forecast says 1-3 inches, another has a one hour snow event Sunday.
They say that there can never be two snowflakes that are exactly alike, but has anyone checked lately?

Terry Pratchett Is it like in Tennessee when I lived there? A snow forecast meant everyone rushed out to buy milk and bread, maybe a snow shovel. Usually the snow melted off in a couple of hours. At worst, it turned to slush and refroze, but even that was pretty short lived.

Example: We had a 30 (Thirty) inch snowfall couple of years ago. The storm was over on Saturday AM. Most streets were cleared by Saturday night. Main roads were open by the afternoon. Schools were open by Monday.
