An alleged Capitol rioter who is accused of tasing police officer Michael Fanone on Jan. 6 can be seen breaking down in tears in a video of his FBI interrogation and wailing: “I’m a piece of shit, I’m sorry!” The clip, released Tuesday, is the first video of an FBI interrogation of an alleged Capitol rioter to be made public. It shows Jan. 6th defendant Danny Rodriguez weeping as he tries to explain his alleged actions to investigators, telling them: “What do you want me to tell you? That I tased him? Yes... Am I fucking piece of shit? Yes.” The FBI agent asks what motivated him to use the taser on Fanone. Rodriguez responds through tears: “I don’t know... I’m a piece of shit, I’m sorry! I don’t know. He’s a human being with children, and he’s not a bad guy.” Elsewhere in the clip, Rodriguez is asked why he came to the protest and he blames the former president: “Trump called us to D.C... He’s the commander in chief and the leader of our country, and he’s calling for help—I thought he was calling for help.” Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty to assaulting Fanone, and this week was charged in a new indictment with conspiracy.

A New York man who is a member of the right-wing Proud Boys group has been sentenced to 87 months in prison for unlawfully possessing firearms including “ghost guns,” and ammunition, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Jonathan M. Cuney, 38, is described in the press release as a member of the Proud Boys since 2018. He has a prior conviction for gun trafficking of which he pled guilty to in 2015.

"In pleading guilty on June 22, 2021, Cuney also admitted that from at least August 2018 until November 12, 2019, he purchased firearms parts from several dozen online retailers, and had these items shipped to East Greenbush; Willits, California (where he maintained a residence); and Providence, Rhode Island (where he formerly maintained a legitimate firearms business)," the Defense Department's press release reads. "Cuney then used these firearms parts to manufacture non-serialized handguns and rifles, and silencers. These firearms are often called “ghost guns” because they do not have serial numbers, making them more difficult for law enforcement to track."

When the FBI searched Cuney's home, they found two rifles, one revolver, four serialized AR-15-style rifle receivers, two completed “ghost” guns, five pistol parts kits, two completed silencers and enough parts to build more than 10 silencers, as well as other firearms, parts, and accessories. More weapons were found in a storage unit he owned.

Separate reports say Cuny is a former Marine Sergeant and a recipient of a Purple Heart received during the Battle of Fallujah in Iraq.

He’s known as “AFO #258” on the FBI’s most wanted list, signifying that he’s one of the individuals sought by the agency for involvement “in violent assaults on federal law enforcement officers at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.”

The volunteer online sleuths who have been poring through open-source video and matching images to social media profiles for the past 11 months have a catchier name for Lucas Denney. They call him #PoleTosser, a nicknamed earned when Denney launched a giant wooden pole toward a line of police officers in the midst of a pitched battle on the West Plaza as rioters lobbed projectiles and the two sides exchanged blasts of chemical spray.

Despite being wanted by the FBI, Denney has maintained a relatively high profile, showing up at public events such as rallies against COVID restrictions as president of the Patriot Boys paramilitary group and posing alongside Republican politicians ranging from Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Rep. Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina.

Denney, an Army veteran who lives in suburbs south of Fort Worth, also hasn’t been shy about taunting the FBI, or continuing to agitate for insurrection.

“Big shoutout to the FBI because you’re all f*cking traitors. FBI, you’re on the wrong f*cking side,” he said in an Aug. 26 TikTok video. Denney concluded by saying, “I’m calling for a military coup. Marine Corps, you lost five guys today — so far. Go ahead and do a military coup and get this mother***er out of office, these communists out of office, and you need to get Trump back in there to fix this shit.” He warned that if the military fails to remove President Biden from office, the United States will face “World War III and a civil war all at once.”

Another video posted on Denney’s TikTok page on Oct. 19 includes appropriated footage from a Revolutionary War documentary accompanied by the text, “I remember another time when Patriots were called domestic terrorist [sic] fighting their communist government.” During a scene showing British army soldiers on the march the letters “F-B-I” flash across the screen.

White Nationalists Stage Bizarro Rally in Downtown D.C., Find Themselves Stranded

WASHINGTON, D.C.—A group of white supremacists stormed through downtown Washington, D.C. on Saturday evening, bearing American flags and mildly menacing plastic shields while marching to the beat of a snare drum down the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. But after chanting aggressively about their plans to “reclaim America,” their intended show of force stalled spectacularly when they lost their ride.

While the group had marched through the city with threatening chants about their plan to “reclaim America,” by the end of the night it was not even clear how they intended to reclaim their U-Haul.

The rally by more than 100 members of the “Patriot Front” group, held just blocks from the White House, sparked fear among many bystanders and immediately attracted the attention of law enforcement, who shadowed the group to apparently prevent any clashes from erupting.

Members of the group had waited in a one-way roundabout to depart in one of the U-Hauls they had used to transport themselves for the rally. Now “ICE-ing”—the I, C and E taken from internal combustion engine—is on the rise. The practice involves parking fossil-fuel-powered vehicles in designated EV charging spots to block anyone from using them. For EV owners, it’s the equivalent of someone parking in front of a gas pump. Sometimes it’s unintentional. Other times it’s not.

One of the most recent incidents was at a North Carolina convenience store called Sheetz. Reddit user Leicina posted her account of several pickup-trucks pulling in to block all the Tesla supercharging station’s spots.

On Tuesday, The Washington Post explored the case of Matthew Michanowicz, a Pittsburgh man who planted bombs around an area where a Black Lives Matter protest had broken out in May 2020 — and why he received a surprisingly lenient sentence.

"The city was a tinder box that afternoon. Six days earlier, a Minneapolis police officer murdered George Floyd, sparking protests around the country. The day before, one in Pittsburgh devolved into a riot. Dozens were arrested. City leaders imposed a curfew," reported Jonathan Edwards. "The next day, Michanowicz rode his bike to check out the aftermath. He wheeled himself to a plaza below a skyscraper in the heart of downtown, planted the backpack with the three bombs he’d made and left. They never exploded, but prosecutors said they could have hurt or killed someone."

Ultimately, he was caught by police and pleaded guilty — but while prosecutors asked for at least 30 months in prison, U.S. District Judge Donetta Ambrose, sentenced him to time served, six months of house arrest, and three years of probation.

"Michanowicz’s lawyer, Ken Haber, told The Post in a phone interview that the judge might have considered his client’s recent mental health issues and personal struggles," said the report. "Within a year of placing the bombs, Michanowicz lost his job as a successful medical salesman who worked with neurosurgeons. His father and a good friend died. He got divorced. 'I think the judge was somewhat convinced that he had a breakdown,' Haber said, adding that his client has stressed that he never meant for the devices to go off."

A bombshell dropped in Monday night’s Jan. 6 committee hearing when it was revealed that Donald Trump Jr.—along with Fox News stars including Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham—begged White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to get the president to make a national address and halt the Capitol riot.

“He’s got to condemn this shit ASAP,” Donald Trump Jr. texted Meadows. “The Capitol Police tweet is not enough.”

“I’m pushing it hard. I agree,” Meadows responded.

“We need an Oval Office address. He has to leave now. It has gone too far and gotten out of hand,” the president’s son responded.

An aide to Donald Trump Jr. declined to comment on the newly disclosed exchange, one of several with Meadows that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), a member of the House select committee to investigate the Jan. 6 riot, read aloud at the meeting. Donald Trump Jr. texted Meadows “again and again,” according to Cheney.

Faux News, the Republican propaganda machine, was up to their slimy, fascist ears in it. Here's a bit but the examples in the article are pure Faux. They have clearly decided to fight Newsmax and OAN on their own turf.

Several Fox News stars also texted Meadows to implore the president to act.

Trump confidant Hannity texted: “Can he make a statement. Ask people to leave the Capitol.” Ingraham wrote: “Mark, the president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home. This is hurting all of us. He is destroying his legacy.”

And Fox & Friends’ Brian Kilmeade texted: “Please, get him on TV. Destroying everything you have accomplished.”

The messages were in stark contrast to what the Fox personalities were saying on air: Ingraham, Hannity, and Kilmeade all suggested in the immediate aftermath of the Capitol riot that left-wing activists were responsible for the violence or that America deserved it for subjecting then-President Donald Trump to the Russia investigation.

Cristina Cabrera has all the top quotes from the Fox hosts with their hair on fire begging Mark Meadows to get the President to condemn and end the insurrection as it happened on January 6th. But for my money the best isn’t even a Fox host, or at least not formally: It’s Donald Trump Jr. “He’s got to condemn this shit ASAP. The Capitol Police tweet is not enough.”

These quotes speak for themselves and, from the vantage point of a year later, they say so many different things. The most obvious is that it was crystal clear when it happened that the insurrection was horrid, a direct attack on our system of government itself and simply shocking. Basically all of these people by now and often within days were back to saying the whole thing was no big deal or actually the work of Antifa or FBI agents provocateurs. The whole story of the Trump presidency and post-presidency is one of a series of shocks that drove momentary shudders in his followers before they quickly found a way to explain and justify and get about the business of saying everyone does it.

But what’s really damning rather than just embarrassing or hypocritical is that they all knew in real time that Trump was in charge and at fault. And even after seeing how far it had gone he was refusing to shut it down. All their urgency and disbelief was seeing that he had decided to let it continue. They were pulling every fire alarm they could to get him to stop. But he wouldn’t do it.

During Trump’s presidency we sometimes imagined that advisors were sometimes egging him on to greater outrages. But this paints a different picture. Even hotheads like his son Don were trying to get him to stop. It really does seem like Trump himself was the greatest instigator. The one willing to take it further than anyone else. And he was in charge.

A member of Congress texted White House chief of staff Mark Meadows the day after the violent Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection lamenting that it had been a “terrible day” … because their efforts to steal the election for Donald Trump had failed, according to new texts revealed by the House Jan. 6 select committee on Monday.

“Yesterday was a terrible day,” the lawmaker wrote in one of the text exchanges Meadows turned over to the committee. “We tried everything we could in our objection to the 6 states. I’m sorry nothing worked.”

The Jan. 6 panel, which unveiled the damning texts during a vote to recommend criminal contempt charges against Meadows, did not publicly identify the lawmaker who sent the message. A total of 147 lawmakers, all of them Republicans, voted against certifying the 2020 Electoral College results.

“The committee is not naming these lawmakers at this time, as our investigation is ongoing,” said committee member Adam Schiff (D-CA), who read the text aloud.

The second is Meadows spewing typical victimhood bullshit.

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows responded late Monday to the House Select Committee's vote to recommend prosecution for criminal contempt of Congress after he refused to testify before the panel.

"It’s disappointing, but not surprising," Meadows told Sean Hannity. "Let’s be clear about this, this is not about me, holding me in contempt. It’s not even about making the Capitol safer. We’ve seen that by the selective leaks that are going on right now. This is about Donald Trump and about actually going after him once again."

The DC AG is suing some of the anti-American fascist terrorist groups for damages.

The city of Washington, D.C. sued the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers on Tuesday, alleging that the groups violated the Ku Klux Klan Act and seeking damages stemming from the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

The defendants named both far-right organizations as well as dozens of their members who’ve been charged federally for their actions on Jan. 6. The Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, who had been barred from D.C. by a judge prior to the attack, was also named.

The suit, which also named 50 unidentified defendants, noted that several of the named defendants have already reached plea deals with the federal government.

The city was bringing the suit, D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine stated at the top of the complaint, for the groups’ alleged “conspiring to terrorize the District by planning, promoting, and participating in the violent January 6, 2021, attack on the United States Capitol Building.”

“Over the course of several weeks, the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, their leadership, and certain of their members and affiliates — motivated by a desire to overturn the legal results of the election and initiate a second term of Donald Trump’s presidency — worked together to plot, publicize, recruit for, and finance their planned attack,” the suit alleged.

“The result of that planning, the January 6th Attack on the Capitol, was not a protest or a rally. It was a coordinated act of domestic terrorism.”

Filed in federal court in the District of Columbia, the lawsuit demanded a jury trial and sought damages for two alleged violations of the Ku Klux Klan Act. It also listed assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress allegedly committed by the groups and their members. The District of Columbia’s lawyers were joined by those from the States United Democracy Center and the Anti-Defamation League, as well as two law firms.

The Klan Act, a 19th century law created to combat the white supremacist terror group in the wake of the Civil War, has a number of components related to efforts to prevent government officials from performing their jobs, and also efforts to impede Americans’ civil rights.

Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr., a 53-year-old from Hayesville, North Carolina, was arrested on Jan. 7 after he sent threats about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and others to a relative from Georgia. The relative contacted Meredith’s mother, who reached out to the FBI.

When FBI special agents found Meredith at a Holiday Inn about a mile from the U.S. Capitol, there was a handgun, a rifle, about 2,500 rounds of ammunition and 10 large-capacity ammunition feeding devices inside his trailer.
Meredith will get credit for the 11 months he’s already served behind bars. The defendant’s mental health issues played a role in his sentence.

Meredith had written to his relative that he was “[t]hinking about heading over to Pelosi C[**]T’s speech and putting a bullet in her noggin on Live TV 😈.” “I ain’t goin to jail, the morgue maybe, not jail,” he wrote to his relative.

When a friend wrote that “Trump wants you to go home peacefully,” Meredith said that was nonsense.
“Bullshit, he wants HEADS and I’m gonna deliver,” he wrote.

He was arrested on Jan 7 at a hotel one mile away from the Capitol with a handgun, a rifle, about 2500 rounds of ammunition and 10 large-capacity ammunition feeding devices.

At least five service members allegedly were part of the deadly pro-Trump mob that assaulted the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, leaving behind a ransacked house of government and injured police.

The attack shook the core of democracy in America, with looting and violence as Congress certified the presidential election results. The sudden unrest forced lawmakers to hide in offices and barricade doors as rioters chanted threats.

Ten months later, the military is finally starting to take action against some of the identified participants of the event. But most of those accused appear to still be in uniform, serving the country they allegedly attacked.

The five service members are a diverse group. There are two officers, along with three enlisted. Four are in the Army and National Guard, and one is in the Marine Corps. Common to all five are pending federal charges for their actions around and inside the Capitol, and the lack of a clear and decisive response from military leaders.

"I think the way the military is handling insurrectionists, treating them with kid gloves, is another great example of how broken the system is," Kristofer Goldsmith, an Army veteran and CEO of Sparverius, an intelligence firm that researches online extremism and disinformation campaigns, said in an interview. "There's no excuse for insurrection; it should be treated as the most serious crime someone who swore an oath to the Constitution can commit."

A National Guardsman who was part of the mob that rampaged through the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 has been sentenced to probation and a fine for his actions, but will avoid jail time, court records show. His state says he's still in the Guard.

Pfc. Abram Markofski, who serves in Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 128th Infantry Regiment, a National Guard unit based in River Falls, Wisconsin, was sentenced in federal court Dec. 10 to two years of probation and $1,500 in fines and restitution on one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Markofski pleaded guilty to the one charge – out of a total of four similar charges – in September as part of a plea agreement. Federal prosecutors had asked the court to impose a two-week prison sentence.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Wisconsin National Guard confirmed that Markofski was still serving with the Guard, writing in an email that "there has not been a change to his status."

The spokesperson, Maj. Gretel Weiskopf, cited privacy regulations when asked for more details about Markofski, including whether he was part of the mission to secure the Capitol after it was overrun by rioters. Markofski's unit was part of the Guard's massive response to the events of that day.

"Any details into his status within the Wisconsin National Guard will not be disclosed to protect his privacy," Weiskopf told Military.com in an email Wednesday.

A terrorist from the Jan 6 Republican Insurrection gets a real sentence.

Florida man was sentenced Friday to just over five years in prison for assaulting police officers during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

The sentence, of 63 months, was the longest one yet imposed among the more than 150 defendants who have pleaded guilty to taking part in the siege.

"It has to be made clear that trying to violently overthrow the government, trying to stop the peaceful transition of power, and assaulting law enforcement officers in that effort is going to be met with absolutely certain punishment," said U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan.

Robert Palmer, 54, of Tampa, was charged with repeatedly assaulting police officers on the Capitol's Lower West Terrace. Prosecutors said he threw a wooden plank the police, then picked up a fire extinguisher and sprayed its contents at a line of officers, throwing the canister at them after it was empty.

A few minutes later, prosecutors said, he picked up the fire extinguisher and threw it at them a second time and assaulted another group of officers with a metal pole, throwing it like a spear. He stopped the attack when an officer shot him in the abdomen with a rubber bullet.

He stopped the attack when an officer shot him in the abdomen with a rubber bullet.

I'm happy to read that last sentence, although I wouldn't shed a tear if it had been a lead one instead.  Of course, that would add him to the list of Trump Celestial Martyrs like Ashli Babbitt.  MAGAts believe she is an anointed being in the heavens, for her untimely murder by a traitorous BLM-loving police officer.
