Or, the other extreme: 2,500+ SF house with a bit of age on it, the owners want a completely renovated kitchen and 2 completely renovated bathrooms, plus create a “man cave” and a new laundry room/ mud space somewhere…on a budget of $100,000. |

My wife did some kitchens and baths for people we know or referrals. One couple wanted a full remodel of their master bath for $10,000 including a shower (so plumbing) move. She (not him) also insisted on a nearly $4,000 claw foot tub, over $1,000 in high-end faucets and handles, nearly $1,000 in other high-end hardware, and wanted a wall moved. I think she was hoping the contractor would do the work for 50 bucks. Uuuuuhhhh, no.
