I've never been to a wedding where this happened (Texas man in Nebraska edition):
Summon the bride?!? Looks like a threat to me. The 12 year old is all right. Grandpa is charged with felony child abuse.

Grandpa is charged with felony child abuse. No different than scaring the cattle with your six shooter to round them up. Cattle, ranch hands, brides -- they are all just property in this guy's thinking, I suspect.

Going against the stereotype, all the "funny" people are in NY City, this person wanted Upstate NY area to be noted also. Man arrested for series of squirrel-painting incidentsPATTERSON — Most squirrels come in earth tones: tan, gray, black, brown. Even the red squirrel is more of a bark-like rust. So when police spotted a vibrant apple-red squirrel in Putnam County in December, they knew something unnatural was afoot. <SNIP> On Dec. 28, DEC officers conducted surveillance in the area and observed a bright red squirrel crossing the street less than a block away from the suspect’s residence. The DEC officers and SPCA detectives continued their observations before interviewing the suspect on Jan. 13. The man, 62, admitted to trapping squirrels and painting them. He said he wanted to keep track of the ones that were returning to his yard, disturbing the birds and causing his dogs to bark, according to Environmental Conservation officer Daniel Franz. The DEC charged the suspect with several violations of state Environmental Conservation Law related to trapping, transporting and liberating wildlife. The Putnam County SPCA also charged him with three counts of poisoning or attempting to poison animals, a misdemeanor under state Agriculture and Markets Law. www.timesunion.com/hudsonvalley/news/article/squirrel-painting-putnam-county-dec-arrest-18642677.php?utm_content=hed&sid=626c1e9eea28f16ce2389134&ss=A&st_rid=791a47ad-2bca-4ca0-bde7-30fe535ba9e5&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=headlines&utm_campaign=altu%20%7C%20daily%20headlines

Is he gonna call animal control to get them to remove and relocate the bright red squirrels? This guy has too much time on his hands.

Painting them? Really? Having had multiple squirrel attacks on my vegetable garden and several ones that have caused a lot of damage to my house I hate squirrels. However, I just want to make them go away forever, not torture them. And that is even with how vindictive they can seem to be.

Not to be outdone, the nice folks in Oz have made a contribution to the saga: Canberra: Hunt launched for driver wearing a banana costume and a balaclava who allegedly injured a man while doing burnoutsGlad to see that the US is not the only place occupied by creative lawbreakers.
