Tennessee wants to allow nearly anybody current or ex military or law enforcement be allowed to decide they want to wander around on school grounds with a gun, without prior permission. Yeah, because that's a group with a 100% mental stability rate.

Someone has been busy shooting off his 2nd Amendment in Maine at a restaurant and a bowling alley, well known places where governmental tyranny takes place.  Got a nice photo of the shooter at the bowling alley with his weapon. I'm no expert on fire arm identification but I can say with confidence that it is not a muzzle loaded flintlock rifle.  About 20 people dead, 50-60 injured in addition and not dead (so far).

Another day, another shooting with one fatality and 1 wounded. Shooter still at large. However, this one hits really close to home — Chem PhD & I were shopping in there just a couple of weeks ago.

The Ocala Police Department confirms one person was killed and another was wounded during a shooting inside a mall in Ocala.

Authorities confirm two people were shot inside the Paddock Mall on Saturday afternoon at 3:40. One of the victims, a man, was killed in the shooting. A woman was shot in the leg and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Some individuals were also hurt as people ran from the gunfire...

The mom of the kid that shot his fellow high school students in Michigan in 2021 has been convicted. This is a big deal...the first time parents of a minor turned mass shooter were charged with anything related to their child's actions.

A Michigan jury convicted a school shooter’s mother of involuntary manslaughter Tuesday in a first-of-its-kind trial to determine whether she had any responsibility in the deaths of four students in 2021.

Prosecutors say Jennifer Crumbley was grossly negligent when she failed to tell Oxford High School that the family had guns, including a 9mm handgun that her son, Ethan Crumbley, used at a shooting range on the weekend before the Nov. 30, 2021, attack.

She tried to pass the buck to the father.

Jennifer and James Crumbley are the first parents in the U.S. to be charged in a mass school shooting committed by their child. James Crumbley, 47, faces trial in March.

Jennifer Crumbley, 45, told jurors that it was her husband’s job to keep track of the gun. She also said she saw no signs of mental distress in her son.

“We would talk. We did a lot of things together,” she testified. “I trusted him, and I felt I had an open door. He could come to me about anything.”

In a journal found by police, Ethan Crumbley wrote that his parents wouldn’t listen to his pleas for help.

“I have zero help for my mental problems and it’s causing me to shoot up the … school,” he wrote.

This is the couple that went on the run after their son was arrested.  Seem like nice folks, no?

A shooting near Kansas City’s Union Station on Wednesday left one person dead and at least 21 others with gunshot wounds, turning a Super Bowl victory celebration into a scene of chaos as thousands of fans in red jerseys ran for safety.

It was unclear who was responsible. Three people had been detained, the Kansas City police chief said at a news conference. She did not name them and said that investigators had not identified a motive.

Moreno, 36, was shot and killed by two off-duty officers working security at the Houston church, according to authorities.

A deputy's son "agreed to exchange a handgun, (later found to belong to his deceased father), for a sum of $300" back in February, the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The Country Oaks Elementary School was placed under lockdown Wednesday morning after the sheriff's office received a call about "a suspicious incident" on campus. Authorities discovered ammunition in the backpack of the boy who purchased the gun.

The gun was later found in his backyard under a shed, hidden with a 74-gram bag of marijuana, according to investigators.

The boy was charged with the purchase of a firearm by a minor, unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of a firearm on school property and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.

Moreover, the momma of the seller is also a Hendry County Sheriff’s deputy. Someone may have some ‘splainin’ to do…

Gotta laugh and shake your head on this.  County sheriffs are not the Jack Webb clean cut, clean living folks. When I lived in Tennessee in the early 80's the sheriff of the county I lived in was arrested for his work with a marijuana transportation conspiracy. He was pulling deputies off of routes that the pot was being moved on after pickup at the county airport.

"But these convictions are not about poor parenting. These convictions confirm repeated acts, or lack of acts, that could've halted an oncoming runaway train," Matthews told the courtroom.
The Crumbleys -- who reports say showed little emotion the day of sentencing -- are the nation's first parents to be convicted and sentenced on charges arising from a shooting carried out by their child. They will each receive credit for 858 days already served.

Good.  Those are the lovely people who fled when their kid was arrested.  Shows the level of parenting at work right there.  "Here kid have a gun.  We don't care what you do with it."
