Maybe she ran up a big bar tab and didn't pay. Making her a true Trump-In-A-Dress.

Yeah let's tie the defense budget to abortion policy. Now I realize that once upon a time this sort of deal making happened well outside the public view and probably involved 2 bills, not one. "You give on this bill, I'll give on that bill" was part of the art of compromise that actually enabled Congress to work instead of being paralyzed by Congress members who really are there to make sure they end up on Fox News as a brave person standing on principle. Other amendments can and will be added to the defense bill: BTW this article is terribly written. At the start of the article you'd almost come to believe these are completely separate bills instead of proposed amendments to the defense budget bill. Amendments are voted on separately and then the whole bill is voted upon.

Maybe she ran up a big bar tab and didn't pay. Making her a true Trump-In-A-Dress. And as over the top as she is in slobbering adoration of King Dump, it wouldn't be a stretch to believe it would be a blue dress with some stains on it.

My Pillow CEO is continuing his self-immolation. He's selling items from his company but denies he's in financial trouble. Sadly, its just another case of the "Trump Curse". Despite it all, he still thinks Pres Trump will come to save him. We all know he's just another victim. I don't have an MBA, but manufacturers don't sell off manufacturing equipment they need for their product. Mike Lindell is auctioning off pillow-making equipment and hawking hundreds of random items in a sprawling yard sale of MyPillow's stuffMyPillow CEO Mike Lindell says he's auctioning off more than 800 items — including equipment from his pillow factory in Minnesota — after losing more than $100 million in retail sales. The auction is being held on K-BID Online Auctions and is set to close on July 18, 2023. MyPillow is auctioning off 824 items, according to the listing page. Various items were up for grabs, including a 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van with a "cracked windshield," Apple iMacs, and a stained ottoman. (Huh ?) Lindell told the Minnesota television station WCCO that the auction was a response to a change toward a direct-to-consumer business strategy. Lindell added that MyPillow needed to deal with an excess inventory so employees could keep working. www.insider.com/mypillow-ceo-mike-lindell-auctioning-pillow-making-equipment-2023-7(I wonder how the ottoman got "stained".)

While this article is framed as a reply to a David Brooks column (which might be a career in and of itself), I think it offers a lot of support for the same conclusion I've come to myself about the animating forces of the modern GOP and the durability of Trump's support: racism and sexism, rather than economic anxiety is, by far, the thing that explains it best.
Brooks, like a lot of anti-trumpers, simply cannot face the truth of this so they embrace a fiction that sounds plausible. They'd prefer to believe that at the core somewhere there is a noble phoenix ready to rise up out of the ashes.
John Eastman gave an interview in which he referenced the Declaration of Independence and how it justified and encouraged people to alter or abolish their form of government when it no longer served them, which is of course true. What he didn't mention is that it also cautioned against doing so lightly and then offered a long list of grievances that included things like being forced to quarter troops, taxation without representation, and not being allowed to engage in trade.
Eastman's list of grievances? Deep state suppression of Hunter Biden's laptop and the Twitter files which was effectively interfering with the election in his view. "If those are the stakes, what are you supposed to do?” he asked. “Sit around and twiddle your thumbs?”

As I reported earlier, red state Republicans are coming after no-fault divorce. They've lost their leverage over the women they abuse, treat like shit, or just ignore and they want it back in God(tm)'s name.

How would you like to be a dentist in Texas, when your patients can demand their guns into the dental exam room. "Owwwww. Blammmmmmm. I was just standing my ground when he threatened bodily harm"

They really can be spun into outrage by anything the right-wing noise machine tells them to be outraged about.

She's been out of the spotlight for a bit. Seems her boyfriend is also getting into the act. (Personal note: Thats a pretty fast rebound from the divorce). As always: not one bit of proof. BUT...if you look close, its an "opinion" so no proof needed/ Jewish Space Lasers? Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Boyfriend Suggests Recent Wildfires Intentionally SetMarjorie Taylor Greene’s boyfriend and Right Side Broadcasting Network producer Brian Glenn took to Twitter to suggest the recent wildfires may have be intentionally set in the name of “saving the planet.” In right wing circles, conspiracy theorists are blaming the Hawai’i wildfires on space lasers and suggest it’s part of a globalist plot to buy the land and traffic children. BONUS: In case you're wondering where the "Jewish Space Lasers" idea came from: www.mediamatters.org/facebook/marjorie-taylor-greene-penned-conspiracy-theory-laser-beam-space-started-deadly-2018PS: One joke I read was "if Jews had space lasers do you think Nazis would still be around ?"

I've come to the conclusion that so many flat-out crazy people in congress is just representative democracy in action.

Whether they are over, under, or well represented is something of a mystery to me to be honest. 'Crazy' is an inaccurate pejorative. 'Dangerously ignorant, bigoted and proud of it' is somewhat more accurate and that group just seems to grow daily to me.

My guess is the green light for an impeachment inquiry is part of a deal to avoid a shutdown. McCarthy and his high-wire act would be entertaining if the stakes weren't so high.

Can't wait for the testimony..."Yeah me and Hunter were doing some bumps and he said to me, he says, 'hey, did ya know my dad used to be Vice President of the United States and he's gonna help me do big time, big money deals. yeah I have to cut him in a little but there will be lots of money.'"

I'm not a fan of Senator Mitt Romney...he always struck me as the entitled Thurston G Howell the Third candidate who was only interested in corporate welfare and certainly lacked "the common touch". His coming book describes life in the Senate and some interactions with mostly unnamed Republican Senators in regards to the former president that I find interesting and exactly what we suspected was happening. The book is excerpted in The Atlantic: Life in the Senate: Senate Republicans:
