I was checking the aftermath of Milton in FL on a couple local channels on YouTube, and in the public chat comments sections, there is stark misinformation. Like, what??? It's intentional to cause more fear and chaos.

This crap is causing meteorologists to get death threats. These people are too stupid to live but it's other people that get to do the dying. Partisan politics does bad things to people who are already crazy. If the government is creating hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards why wouldn't the government target Trump's side of Florida and his New Jersey place? A well placed tornado could take Mar A Lago out.

Just when you think you might have seen the worst, something comes along. Three GOP attorney generals are suing the federal government because...mifepristone is effective as a birth control measure. Yes, indeed, that is their argument. They cite a study which shows that 15-19 year-old girls are less likely to have babies when mifepristone is available to them. Even though it's from a GOP nut house this is one study I think might just be somewhat accurate. They previously sued about mifepristone because...I actually don't remember what their argument last time was...I think it was that medical doctors aren't qualified enough to evaluate the effects of the drug and that judges need to do it instead. Anyway, that was rejected because SCOTUS said the state had no compelling interest. They decided to amend that suit with a compelling state interest argument. And what is that argument?
And there you have it. Giving birth control to teen age girls deprives the state of 1) federal tax dollars the state would be get for that teen pregnancy and 2) it potentially deprives the state of a house seat they might otherwise get from the additional population. The compelling state interest is that teenagers need to get pregnant in GOP controlled states so the GOP can get more money and power. No beating around the bush with this group.

Yeah there is also the panic that white people aren't having enough babies to maintain white majority status. Next up will be banning higher education for girls. It's well known that increased education causes women to have fewer babies. Hmmm barefoot and pregnant...
