Tuckums is still all in on bogus voter fraud allegations, this time with some crank from a group dedicated to lying about the election called "True the Vote."

Tucker Carlson on Thursday began a segment on the use of ballot drop boxes during the 2020 election by once again mischaracterizing a position of the Biden administration.

“It is now effectively a crime to ask questions about what happened during the last presidential election. That is not an overstatement, by the way,” Carslon said, seemingly devoid of any self-awareness. He then reiterated:

“The Department of Homeland Security, which by the way is of course a law enforcement agency—the biggest in the country—believes that asking questions about the last election is a crime.”

That set the tone for Carlson’s interview of Catherine Engelbrecht, president of True the Vote, a conservative group that says its goal is to stop voter fraud. Engelbrecht, Carlson said from the outset, “is conducting what seems to us like an entirely legitimate, cool-headed investigation” into the 2020 election.

Engelbrecht laid out how she came to the conclusion that there was “rampant abuse” of drop boxes. She said her organization “invested in a tremendous amount—10 trillion cellphone pings—[of] geospacial data that allowed us to monitor the device movements around drop boxes [and] to develop patterns of life and determine whether or not unique devices were going repeatedly to drop boxes.”

“Over time, that became a pattern that included not just drop boxes but also far-left organizations,” Engelbrecht claimed, “and we noticed a pattern consistent with the nexus between both of the organizations and the drop boxes.”

That data, Engelbrecht said confidently, “is immutable.”

Bonus points for an odd and generally meaningless use of the word "immutable."

Ironically "True the Vote" is actually a very accurate name for this group. When you true the edge of a board you take away material that's actually there to produce the outcome you want. Yep, that's them to a tee.

Rampant Abuse = ballots deposited that didn't vote for Trump. 

GOTV efforts have often involved people picking up elderly or auto-less voters to take them to a polling station.  So if the same volunteers take a voter to a drop box, they are obviously guilty of voter fraud. 

Voter Fraud = voters who fail to vote for Republicans and those who enable them.

Tucker Carlson suggested that coronavirus pandemic lockdowns ― not guns ― were to blame for recent mass shootings in the U.S.

On Wednesday, the Fox News host tried to connect recent shooting massacres in Buffalo, New York and Uvalde, Texas, to one of his favorite targets: COVID-19 mitigation measures.

“Oh, so the lockdowns dramatically increase the incidence of mental illness among young people and in 10 days, we’ve seen two mass shootings by mentally ill young people. Could there be a connection?” he asked. “Now, that’s not finger-pointing. It’s not to blame [Dr. Anthony] Fauci for yesterday’s shooting. We’re not that low. We’re not Joe Biden. But if people are becoming mentally ill because they’re disconnected from others, what can we do to connect them to others and thereby reduce the incidence of mental illness? That’s a real conversation.”

The shooters in Buffalo and Uvalde used assault rifles they had purchased legally. Both men were 18. The Buffalo gunman killed 10 people at a supermarket in what authorities said was a racially motivated attack against the Black community. The Uvalde shooter killed 19 children and two teachers.

Many countries implemented lengthy and isolating lockdowns during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Australia and New Zealand, which have stricter gun control measures than the U.S., experienced some of the world’s longest lockdowns, yet saw no comparable shootings.

Australia hasn’t had a mass shooting since 1996, when a gunman opened fire at a tourist resort in Port Arthur, killing 35 people. The government responded by enacting strict gun control legislation, including banning all semi-automatic rifles.

In New Zealand, all semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles were banned after a gunman killed 51 people in Christchurch in 2019. The government implemented a gun buy-back scheme so gun owners could be compensated for turning in their firearms. There hasn’t been a mass shooting in New Zealand since.

Despite this evidence, Republicans largely remain opposed to tightening gun controls. And according to Carlson, strict gun control in the U.S. would cause “civil war.”

“Quick question, how was your weekend?” Stephen Colbert said at the top of his Late Show monologue on Monday. “I certainly had an interesting one, because some of my staff had a memorable one.”

From there, Colbert proceeded to break down all of the previously unknown details about the seven Late Show staffers who were arrested on Capitol Hill last week while filming a comedy piece about the Jan. 6 committee hearings.

“Here’s what happened,” he explained. “Last week, I heard from my old colleague Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Triumph offered to go to D.C. and interview some Congress people to highlight the Jan. 6 hearings. I said, ‘Sure, if you can get anyone to agree to talk to you, because—and please don’t take this as an insult—you’re a puppet.’”

Colbert confirmed that both Democratic and Republican members of Congress agreed to talk to Triumph, the long-running comedy creation of writer Robert Smigel—and he and the Late Show crew spent two days shooting footage at offices across the street from the Capitol building. “They went through security clearance,” he said, and shot all day Wednesday and all day Thursday, invited into the offices of the Congress people they were interviewing.

It was at the end of their second day on Thursday when “Triumph and my folks were approached and detained by the Capitol Police,” he continued. “Which actually, isn’t that surprising. The Capitol Police are much more cautious than they were, say, 18 months ago, and for a very good reason. If you don’t know what that reason is, I know what news network you watch.”

According to the host, everyone was just “doing their job,” they were “very professional” and “very calm.” The Late Show crew was “detained, processed, and released—a very unpleasant experience for my staff, a lot of paper for the Capitol Police, but a very simple story.”

So where does the human bowtie come in?

“Until the next night, when a couple of TV people started claiming my puppet squad had, ‘committed insurrection’ at the U.S. building,” he said, referring to absurd comments made by Tucker Carlson and others.

“First of all, what?” Colbert said. “Second of all, huh? Third of all, they weren’t in the Capitol building. Fourth of all, and I’m shocked I have to explain the difference, but an insurrection involves disrupting the lawful actions of Congress and howling for the blood of elected leaders, all to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. This was first-degree puppetry. This was hijinks with intent to goof. Misappropriation of an old Conan bit.”

Colbert said it was “predictable” that people like Carlson would make such outrageous claims. ​​“They want to talk about something other than the Jan. 6 hearings or the actual seditionist insurrection that led to the deaths of multiple people, and the injury of over 140 police officers,” he said. “But drawing any equivalence between rioters storming our Capitol to prevent the counting of electoral ballots and a cigar-chomping toy dog is a shameful and grotesque insult to the memory of everyone who died, and it obscenely trivializes the service and the courage the Capitol Police showed on that terrible day.”

“But who knows, maybe there was a vast conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States with a rubber Rottweiler,” he joked. “We all know the long history of puppet lawlessness. The Great Muppet Caper, the Fraggle riots of the 1980s.”

The Fox News host mentioned how authorities said Crimo had appeared on their radar twice before: in April 2019 after a suicide attempt and a few months later after he threatened to “kill everyone” in his immediate family. After the second incident, police confiscated knives, a dagger, and a sword from his home. No complaint was filed, and no arrest was made.

“Look at Robert ‘Bobby’ Crimo,” Carlson said, as a photograph of the suspect appeared on screen. “Would you sell a gun to that guy? Does he seem like a nutcase? Of course he does. So why didn’t anyone raise an alarm? Well, maybe because he didn’t stand out.”

“Maybe because there are a lot of young men in America who suddenly look and act a lot like this guy. That’s not an attack; it’s just true,” Carlson said. The Fox host then identified the things in addition to social media, porn, video games, and “government-endorsed weed” that he believes has led to the troubling behavior of these young men.

“They are numbed by the endless psychotropic drugs that are handed out at every school in the country by crackpots posing as counselors. And, of course, they’re angry. They know that their lives will not be better than their parents’. They’ll be worse,” Carlson said.

Ah Tucker he and his pudgy face and luxuriant hairstyle might make some people think he closely identifies with the incels and other men who are aggrieved by their inability to attract positive female attention. He doesn't have to buy an AR style weapon; he just talks and tacitly encourages others to act on their grievances.

Carlson, who has incorrectly said Harris’ name in the past, again cooked up a wrong name for Harris on Wednesday, Mediaite reported.
“The Democratic Party at this point is a cartel that exists only to perpetuate itself and the elderly mediocrities who run and benefit from it,” Carlson said.
“All of them. Carmela Harris is only 57 years old.”
Carlson continued to repeat his “Carmela” name for Harris.
The host referred to Harris by her actual name during his Tuesday episode before incorrectly changing the pronunciation.
