I find it hard to believe this will begin and end with Carlson. It seems likely a lot more heads will roll. I'm actually amazed they're getting rid of their prime attraction. BUT... as always: "Follow the Money". He may be the biggest draw but likely doesn't bring in revenue commensurate with his audience numbers. Someone noted his commercial breaks are ads for other FOX shows, Pillow guy and other non "big money" ads. |

They monetized Tuckums through his higher viewership which allowed them to negotiate better terms with cable providers. Apparently they aren't feeling they can make that pay anymore, but if they can't find somebody with the same draw it's going to sting the next time they renew their agreements. |

I've been channel surfing...some people think there are things involving Tuckums that aren't involved in the Dominion situation that is the reason his head rolled. On MSNBC they were playing lots of video of interview with the guy Epps who some said was some sort of FBI plant that instigated 1/6...he apparently has a suit filled. And don't forget that Bill O'Reilly went down because of sexual harassment charges. Tuckums has been identified as one of those harassers by the former producer from his show.

I, for one, hope he quickly fades from the public eye. Though I have never watched his show, I am generally treated to at least 200 mentions of him a day. I'm sick and tired of it.

Fox told Tucker Carlson’s lawyers he was fired “with cause" — related to the ex-producer’s lawsuit which claimed sexism, antisemitism, and harassment, RadarOnline.comhas learned. The “with cause” label means the company will likely seek to avoid severance payments to Carlson. Most executive contracts contain language stipulating different scenarios of how their separation from the company would be treated financially. If Tuckums drags this into court then that means everything coming out. I suspect that Faux News has a lot of dirt at this point and that a lot of employees and ex-employees would be more than happy to testify if given the green light. Basically he could end up Matt Lauering his brand though that might not be a negative to a fair chunk of his audience. |

I couldn't imagine sitting through more than a limited number of clips myself, but from sources that follow his crap so we don't have to the answer seems like a resounding yes. He's a smarmy, smarky, smug little asshole and that scrunched up "just asking the question" face is practically his trademark. |

Me too. Religious zealot and all around nutjob Rod Dreher was writing about that possibility in a very approving but clearly intentionally non-endorsing manner years ago.
